Alliance Participates in FCC Distracted Driving Event
The Auto Alliance joined others in the Federal Communication Commission’s recent Distracted Driving Technology Showcase, April 19 in Washington. The event brought together a wide variety of important groups working to address driver distraction. The Alliance highlighted its partnership with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons which has included establishing an interactive Website, holding town hall meetings at high schools, distributing – nationwide – educational curriculum on the importance of focusing on the road and much more.

The Auto Alliance has partnered with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) to launch an award-winning, interactive, multi-media campaign highlighting the importance of keeping eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.
From teaching children how to discourage their parents from using handheld electronics while behind the wheel to reminding drivers, themselves, that the task of driving is the most important responsibility while behind the wheel, the “Decide to Drive” campaign reaches a variety of audiences.
